As Lead architect on the Lounges package, Project Manager on the coordination of the fit-out, furnishing, and miscellaneous construction administration details of the 18 premium lounges at the new Hamad (Doha) International Airport. Working with the project team (Antonio Citterio Architects) in conducting the work and inspections required for the sign-off and handover of the
lounges to the Client. Specific duties included the management of the FF&E installation process for the 18 lounges; the management of fine art installations within the lounges; the review and distribution of all RFI’s, submittals, and method statements; and participating in weekly architecture meetings, Project Manager’s meetings, and client/consultant meetings. Additional duties included coordinating architectural efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendors, contractors, construction and other divisional groups. Final duties included project closeout, including coordination of as-built drawings, testing and commissioning, and the acceptance of O & M manuals.

The new Hamad International Airport (HIA) is a key component to the new Qatar development strategy, it replaced the previous undersized facility and now serves at least 24 million passengers per annum (MPPA) and designed with an ultimate build-out phase to serve 48 MPPA.
